Climate change mitigation project to benefit 15 districts

“At least fifteen districts in the country are expected to benefit from the Decentralized Climate Finance Project (DCFP), a five-year project aimed at facilitating investments in improving responses to climate change. This was revealed recently in Dodoma at two­ day training for journalists on DCFP reporting where the journalists were familiarized with the concept of climate change and decentralized climate funds mechanism. Organized by the President’s Office Regional and Local Government (PORALG) and the Tanzania Natural Resources Forum (TNRF), the training brought together eighteen journalists, bloggers, and communication officers from the Government Communication Unit (GCU), Information Technology (IT) officers from PORALG in Monduli district and the Institute of Rural Development Planning.” Read more…
